My Work
I design and write software, the kind that runs websites and internet applications, and I’ve been doing it since the mid ’90s; that’s probably before you even used your first web browser.
I’m a generalist so I can handle most aspects of a project, from strategy and software architecture to full-stack web development, user interface design and cloud infrastructure. So if you have an idea and want to turn it into reality, get in touch, I can help.
My chops include:
- Back-end and front-end programming with Python, Node.js and TypeScript, and even good old PHP.
- Building applications and APIs with frameworks and libraries such as Django, Flask, Next.js, React and the like.
- DevOps: from building containers to configuring and running Kubernetes clusters on platforms such as Google Cloud and Amazon Web Services.
- Database design and optimization with MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Blockchain development with Solidity on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains.
I started as a freelancer with clients in Europe and North America, later worked many years for digital agencies in the US with clients such as Microsoft, the New Republic, Politico, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum and Tor Books, and in recent years I’ve helped early-stage startups to build and launch the first version of their products and form and train their engineering teams.
